KHARPP Art Auction TOMORROW
On Monday (27th June 2022), an art auction will be held, half in aid of KHARPP, at SET Kensington. Whilst the support we have received over the past few months has been amazing, the sad reality is that this war is not going to end any time soon, and the human cost keeps on rising. As more and more volunteer groups leave Przemyśl and the focus of the news shifts elsewhere, KHARPP remains on the ground, supporting the thousands of people still leaving Ukraine every day. Your help is now more important than ever, and this is one way to support our work.
The auction features stunning collectors’ pieces, such as Turner Prize-winning artist Tai Shani's tabletop installation, which has a very low reserve on it for an artist of her standing. There is also work by Ukrainian artist Alevtina Kakhidze, who has been documenting the war. A list of the top lots can be found here.
For those that can't make the live auction but would like to bid, phone bidding is an option. Please contact Sasha Galitzine (sashagalitzine@gmail.com) to arrange this. Otherwise, there is also an online auction that runs until next Friday 1st July, featuring work by mostly up-and-coming UK-based artists, some of which looks a real steal and is a glimpse of the future of British contemporary art – a great opportunity to promote the careers of these artists whilst simultaneously supporting Ukrainian refugees.
The live auction on Monday and the online auction have separate catalogues, so be sure to check out both, and if you can’t make it on Monday, you have until Friday to bid for the online-only lots.
A huge thank you for all of your continued support! Slava Ukraini!
